Rental Requirements
To offer the service, Car Rental Solutions requires the following documentation:
- Minimum age 21 years, no maximum age limit.
- Valid photo ID (INE in the case of Mexican nationality clients and passport with photo in the case of foreign clients).
- Valid driver's license (National or International) ORIGINAL, with photograph and full name of the person, COUNTRY OF ORIGIN DOES NOT MATTER.
In certain circumstances, Car Rental Solutions will request proof of address, airline tickets, hotel confirmation for the safety of the customer and the vehicle, and any additional or employment documentation from the customer at the counter.
Car Rental Solutions reserves the right to decline a reservation if the customer does not meet all rental requirements or if any inconsistencies are found in the documentation.
Tolls and Fines
Tolls or toll booths on the highway are the direct responsibility of the customer. They are NOT included in your rental.
Additional Responsibilities and Protections
PLI/SLI (Third-Party Liability) is liability coverage for damages to third parties, whether personal injury or property damage, caused by the rental vehicle. This coverage extends up to $3,000,000.00 pesos for third-party damages and also includes legal assistance if needed.
Car Rental Solutions offers additional responsibilities and/or protections that may or may not be included in your rental rate, which can be purchased at the counter for protection and peace of mind. These should not be seen as an obligation but as a necessity for your safety and that of your family and to avoid additional unforeseen expenses.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is a protection that reduces your liability for partial or total damage to the rental vehicle. This coverage is based on a deductible, which will be applied when the damage exceeds the deductible stipulated for collision or fire. For damages less than the deductible, the full cost of the damage will be charged.
TP (Zero Deductible Theft Protection) This protection is coverage that releases the lessee from liability for the total loss of the vehicle due to theft. This coverage is void if the agreed-upon rental policies are violated at the time of signing the rental agreement. This protection does not cover the loss or damage of keys, license plates, or traffic tickets.
PAI (Personal Medical Expense Coverage) With this coverage the customer will be covered for medical expenses in case of an accident in the rented vehicle, covering only the authorized passenger capacity of the vehicle.
Additional Drivers
At Car Rental Solutions we offer the option to add an additional driver at no cost . If you require a third driver, you can add them directly at the counter for a cost of $5 USD.
The additional driver must be at least 21 years old and have a valid original (national or international) driver's license with photograph and full name of the person and with a minimum of one year of validity, the country of origin does not matter.
Gasoline
Fuel is NOT included in the total lease cost.
The customer must return the rental vehicle with the same fuel level as when it was picked up, as stipulated in the rental agreement. There are no refunds for excess fuel.
If there is a shortage of gasoline, it will be charged as follows:
- Category A vehicles: $10 USD per missing eighth.
- Category B vehicles: $15 USD per missing eighth.
- Category C vehicles: $20 USD per missing eighth.
Vehicle Return
At the end of the lease, the customer must return the vehicle to the branch stipulated on the cover page of their contract.
Car Rental Solutions offers a 45-minute grace period for vehicle return; after this time, the following conditions apply:
Each additional hour will cost $15 USD up to a maximum of 3 hours; after this time, the full day's rate will be charged.
If the customer changes the return time from the one stipulated in their contract, they must notify Car Rental Solutions 24 hours in advance for rescheduling.
We offer the option to extend your rental agreement. It is the customer's responsibility to request an extension of the rental period at the branch where the rental was made before the initial period ends. If the customer does not contact us within three days, Car Rental Solutions reserves the right to report the non-return of the vehicle to the appropriate authorities, in accordance with the rental agreement. Car Rental Solutions will not be liable for any additional costs that may arise. Car Rental Solutions will honor the rate reserved during the initial rental period. Extensions will be charged according to the rate in effect at the time the extension is requested or the vehicle is returned, as applicable, based on our website.
Car Rental Solutions offers the option to return your rental vehicle to a different city. This service incurs an additional charge, separate from the rental fee, which will be applied at the time of rental and varies depending on the distance between the pick-up and drop-off cities. It is important to note that the minimum rental amount must be met to be eligible for the drop-off option. Please inquire at the counter about the specific drop-off fee for your city.
Reservation Policies
Car Rental Solutions will honor all reservations received, provided they meet all rental requirements. We reserve the right to decline reservations if they do not, including if we find that the information provided is incorrect or has been altered (e.g., name changed, price changed, etc.).
Car Rental Solutions offers its services based on vehicle categories, and we will honor the code provided by our partner. It's important to note that the images of the advertised vehicles are for illustrative purposes only; we will honor the requested category, but not necessarily the specific vehicle shown in the image.
It's important to note that Car Rental Solutions will allow a two-hour waiting period from the pick-up time indicated on your reservation, provided you submit your flight information. If your flight is delayed, please call or email us to notify us of any changes to your pick-up time.
If flight information is not available after two hours, Car Rental Solutions reserves the right to refuse service based on vehicle availability.
After a four-hour delay, the reservation will be considered a No Show and we may or may not honor your reservation, depending on availability.
Geographical Restrictions
Car Rental Solutions does NOT authorize crossing borders with its vehicles.
Cancellation of a Reservation
Car Rental Solutions will handle the cancellation of a reservation as follows:
* If the customer made their reservation through Car Rental Solutions' sales portals and channels, they must request cancellation and a refund by emailing contactocarrentalmxg@mail.com or calling +52 9987379637, subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Reservations cancelled more than 72 hours before pick-up will incur a 5% penalty for bank commission; if payment was made via PayPal, the bank commission to be deducted will be 7%.
- Reservations cancelled within 72 hours prior to the pick-up time will incur a penalty of 20% of the total amount.
- Reservations cancelled within 48 hours of pick-up will not be refunded.
Accidents & Claims
In the event of an accident, the driver must immediately and directly inform Car Rental Solutions so they can follow up with the insurance company. The insurance company requires that the driver be present at the scene of the accident and be authorized on the rental agreement. The driver must also present a valid driver's license with a photograph.
If the client does not follow the process due to an accident or road incident, the protection is automatically declined.

Security deposit
Car Rental Solutions will request a security deposit, which is a hold on your credit card, debit card, or cash. The hold amount will depend on the vehicle category and can range from $200 USD to $4000 USD.
This amount will not be charged; it serves as a guarantee valid for the duration of the vehicle rental. Once the rental period has ended, Car Rental Solutions will release the guarantee.
